These quick fire exercises allowed me to visualise how these models could be incorporated into the space on Tory Street. I could enlarge certain shapes and place them inside the room, acting as an installation piece. Another idea is to tessellate the object and create a room divider or a feature wall. The final model that I generated was the most successful; the repeated intertwined cuts in the paper allowed for distorted light to enter the structure's interior. I like how the cuts create a sense of movement as each slit is positioned and angled differently, almost wave-like. Any light sources nearby could be really effective, with shadows projecting onto surrounding surfaces. I think that this layering technique could be a really refreshing aspect to explore - repeatedly placing a material alongside another to produce depth and more visual interest.
